I have been a client of Fitness Concepts since April of 2003. I selected Fitness Concepts because the personal training program provides a quality routine customized to my personal goals while introducing continuous diverse change. I was attracted to the convenient hours, highly skilled trainers, the ability to train on state-of-the-art equipment, and a more private environment.

I am not only happier with physical results but the many short and long-term benefits that come with routine exercise.

For many years, I thought it would be too challenging to find the time to commit to exercising while trying to balance a professional career and personal life. A milestone birthday and a desire to get in better shape brought me to consult with a professional trainer. After two kids, a stressful job, and managing busy family members, I found myself overweight and unhappy with my inactive lifestyle. I needed to lose some weight, get stronger and become more active. But, I needed guidance and support. I had always been athletic, but somewhere along the timeline of my life, I lost it - in body and in spirit.

Kristine and I met in January 2005 and have been “partners” in this goal of mine for nearly 9 months now. Since working with Kristine, I’ve not only lost weight and became stronger but gained back my self-respect and self-confidence… with myself, at work, and at home.

What I didn’t realize, until writing this, was how far reaching Kristine’s efforts have been realized. Moms are often the “project managers” of our families and I am no exception; deciding what the family eats, what we do, where we go on vacation. I had been disappointed with not only myself but with what my family was becoming – another inactive, overweight statistic.

Kristine was a great educator and provided much needed motivation. In the process, I became a willing advocate and my family is better off because of it. We now eat healthier and enjoy a more active lifestyle. My goals (some of which became theirs, too) have allowed us to become closer together, sharing time and stories while cooking, walking, biking, hiking camping, etc.

I am especially proud to report that I gained the confidence and stamina to compete in several athletic events. So far this year, I’ve completed two 5K runs, three 10K runs, 1 half-marathon and 3 sprint triathlons. And, I’m not done… I want to try a century bike ride and some off-road races. I am most definitely in the best shape than I have been in well over 15 years. Encouraged by Kristine and her advice on nutrition and exercise, I am well on my way to reaching my fitness goals and creating new ones… my fitness is a journey, not a destination. It’s comforting to know that I can count on Kristine’s support and guidance.

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the difference that you’ve made for my wife Michele and I. We started working out at fitness concepts a year and a half ago. Our story is typical. Get married. Have kids (3). Get Fat. Get Lazy. Make excuses. “We don’t have enough time to work out. We’re too busy. We’ll get started next week, better yet, next month…maybe, next year. We’re not that out of shape, right? It’s just an extra couple of pounds, everybody goes through it. We don’t need a trainer, we’ve worked out before, we know what to do. Besides, aren’t personal trainers too expensive”. It sounded good at the time, but boy were we wrong.

In just four short months, I lost 30 lbs. of body fat, gained 12 lbs. of muscle, lost 5 inches around my waistline and got my life back. My wife experienced similar results and now looks better than when we first started dating. People literally can’t believe that she’s had 3 kids. But the difference in our appearance was only the beginning. Our energy level has dramatically increased. Now I’ve got more energy everyday both at the office and at home. Now the kids are trying to keep up with us, not the other way around. As I got in better shape my confidence also increased. I found myself not only getting physically tougher, but mentally tougher. The commitment to follow through, even on days when I didn’t feel like it, really helped to strengthen my sense of self discipline. As a result, I’ve watched my results at work, and my income more than double over the course of the past 15 months. I never imagined the difference your program could make in my business life. Our excuses are a thing of the past. Your custom designed work outs and nutrition programs made everything so easy. And the cost was far less than we expected (with the effect its had on my performance at work, its more than paid for itself). Now we look forward to our workouts and can’t imagine a lifestyle that didn’t include eating right and exercise.

Many thanks to you and your staff. You have truly created a world class fitness environment that is geared towards the needs and goals of your clients. You continue to exceed our expectations and we consider ourselves fortunate to be a part of the Fitness concepts family.

Dear Sam,

I’ve been one of those people who have tried every diet there is, have been a member of your typical gym where people seemed more interested in socializing than anything else. The diet fads and lack of exercise education kept me spinning in a vicious cycle.

I was attracted to Fitness Concepts because you offered personal training, a place I could feel comfortable working out at, and most importantly the experience and knowledge I found in the people working there.

My personal trainer, Denise, has been wonderful. I started the program with low stamina and physical confidence and Denise has motivated and encouraged me to reach higher physical challenges each day. She knows exactly how far to push me during workout and also exactly when to change it up.

Sam, you’ve been so supportive, always providing me with nutrition straight talk and nothing having to do with fad diets, your helpful reminders and valuable expertise keep me on track!

I feel stronger now than I have ever felt before and I’m at a point now, that I actually look forward to going to the gym!
