I am a 49 year old man who was in bad physical shape. My hips and back hurt at all times. I could not bend down to pick up anything off the floor. First, I was going to a chiropractor for almost a year. He helped me get and stay in alignment. However, my doctor told me I needed something more.

My wife brought home an ad for Fitness Concepts and I also saw a flyer in a mailer packet.

In 49 years of life, I have never worked out with weights. More than 30 years on the same job has diminished my range of motion. To me, I needed the combination of a trainer and nutrition brought into my life.

I made an appointment with Sam in February and decided to try through a consistent schedule of 3 days a week. I have almost lost 40 lbs!

After some time of pain and sweat I have a better quality of life. My attitude is better and I’m nicer to my family. This commitment at Fitness Concepts is the best money spent on getting me where I want to be. My personal trainer Cris and physical therapist Loren have helped me with greater range of motion, more flexibility and better sleeping patterns.

At Fitness Concepts I like that physical therapy is available as another tool for better health. The team I have with Cris, Loren, and Sam is very professional. They work well together to know what areas to work on for me. The staff is supportive and nice at all times. They are ready to answer questions of how and why I am conditioning and eating the way I do.

To have weight training, cardio, nutrition, and physical therapy all in one place has been valuable to my own life. My trainer Cris works me hard, is always encouraging and gives me a variety of workouts.

My chiropractor tells me I am not 100% but I’m in the best shape since I started with him. The chiropractor got me in line and Fitness Concepts has helped me to strengthen my muscles in my hips and back.

I owe a special thanks to Cris, Loren, Sam and Armando. My wife and I are so pleased that we just signed up our 15 year son in the program.

Dear Sam,

When I was shopping around for a gym/personal trainer, one of the things I liked was your “no pressure” attitude. You weren’t a sales person; you were more interested in helping me reach my fitness goals. After giving birth, I wanted to lose 10 pounds in one month and firm up. You told me losing weight so quickly was not the healthiest of things and measuring inches& body fat was best for me. Your honesty was greatly appreciated.

So after 29 days, I lost 5 inches and am back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I am extremely happy with my results. Your nutritional sessions taught me the right combination of foods to achieve my weight loss.

And your personal trainer (Aaron) taught me exercises that I could do with and without gym equipment. This is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Not only am I happy with my body (now how often do you hear a woman say that?!), I can take the education you’ve given and continue on with a healthier life. Now that’s priceless! THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Approximately a year ago we decided to check into Fitness Concepts as a replacement for our memberships at another facility. Because of health concerns we felt that a change in training approach and exercise regiment was necessary. We wanted to lose weight, increase our stamina and tone/strengthen our bodies while improving our total well being. We felt that our previous independent efforts had produced no real results and we decided to enlist the help of a personal trainer.

After meeting with personnel at Fitness Concepts and reviewing the features and benefits of their personal training program, we decided to sign on. Through the guidance of Andy, Sam and Armando we have been able to achieve some remarkable results. We definitely feel that the program has positively impacted our lives.

Our personal trainer, Andy is wonderful! He is attentive, encouraging and knows how to push us to reach a little further than we think we can achieve. One of the best features of the gym is the lack of crowds. Unlike most workout facilities, we never have to wait for equipment. The equipment is state of the art and very well maintained. All of the staff are caring, compassionate and truly have an interest in our progress and improvement. They make working out fun and have turned physical fitness into something that we look forward to doing.

We wish to thank everyone at Fitness Concepts. Their dedication and support of our training goals and accomplishments has contributed greatly to our overall health and well being.

I have been dedicated to working out for many years including aerobics, swimming, walking, and cardio/weight training with my husband joining in periodically. I felt that I was doing fine on my own but dreamed of having a trainer to help us both take it to the next level of health and fitness. I was really thrilled to learn about the program offered by Fitness Concepts and we both decided to train together.

Sam and Armando evaluated us and introduced us to our trainer Aaron Wetherspoon~ what a turning point that day was! We have both enjoyed learning about optimum nutrition from Armando and always look forward to our “couples” workout with Aaron; he has become like family to us in addition to helping us to look and feel our best.

When Mike had a heart attack in February of 2005, his Doctor was amazed at his fitness level and felt that our work outs and healthy eating habits may have been instrumental in saving his life! We also realize that in addition to the outward benefits of exercise, it is extremely helpful in reducing stress. Aaron has been so wonderful in tailoring our workouts by always making them challenging but fun; Sam, Armando, and all of the trainers are very friendly and encouraging; the state-of-the-art equipment ensures that our time is always well spent.
