My name is Michelle Murphy. I am 38 years old and live in Chino Hills. I want to tell you about my life-changing experience with Fitness Concepts.

I struggled with my weight all my life. I would lose weight on all the diets I tried only to regain after a few months. I stopped going out with my friends because I would get tired easily and would be embarrassed. I topped the scale at 265 pounds and wore a size 26. one day, I had had enough and decided to join a gym. I had never joined a gym before or even tried to exercise. At this point, however, I was willing to try anything.

I went to the local gym, walked inside and just stared for a couple of minutes at all the machines. I had seen a sign for a free intro session for Fitness Concepts. That’s when I met Saman Bakhtiar, the owner. He was very professional and knowledgeable. After my session with him, I decided to start a three-month program with Fitness Concepts.

Sam (as we call him) set me up with a trainer by the name of Kristine Yu. I started working out with Kristine three days (one-half hour sessions) every week and seeing Sam every Monday for weight check and nutrition. After the first three months, I had lost 30 pounds. I was excited about my weight loss and decided to extend my program for another six months. I was determined to get the rest of the weight off and to eat healthier. I changed my program to three days (on-hour sessions) a week with Kristine and worked out two days a week by myself.

After twenty months, I weigh 140 pounds and wear a size six. I could not have done it without Fitness Concepts and my trainer, Kristine. She has been there for me every step of the way. She challenges me, encourages me, helps me emotionally when I get off track with my eating habits and always makes time for me in my busy work schedule.

Thanks to Kristine and Fitness Concepts, I now live a new life.

From your personalized coaching, and applying your “fitness concepts” of knowing exactly what to do to make one’s body look a certain way, I was able to look EXACTLY the way I wanted to look on my wedding day. I would like to express an enthusiastic “thank you” for helping me accomplish my fitness goals and allowing me to have my dream wedding.

Although I pride myself on being independent and capable of accomplishing my goals by myself, I know very well that without your constant encouragement I would have been unable to meet my fitness goals of losing body fat and building muscle tone (you helped me to look even better that I expected). After working with you, I know that there are many “secrets” to fine-tuning one’s exercise and diet so that the body responds by burning more fat and replacing it with lean muscle.

Yes, it’s great that I was able to look my best on my wedding day. More importantly, however, you have taught me how to incorporate health and fitness into my busy lifestyle so that I enjoy it as an everyday routine part of my life – as natural as brushing my teeth in the morning.

We all know the pressure to be “thin” – especially in Hollywood. Trust me. I know. I’m an aspiring actress.

Many individuals, however, try to find easy, unhealthy and quick fix fad diets and programs that can be hazardous to your health and ultimately lead you right back where you started.

When I first joined “Fitness Concepts” in January 2005, my New Year’s resolution was to get leaner. I weighed 123 pounds with twenty-four percent body fat. After three months training (three times a week for one hour sessions) of their program, I dropped inches and now weigh 110 pounds with sixteen percent body fat.

People think that when you are eating healthy it is because you are on a “diet”. No! “Fitness Concepts” believes in client education and long-term health and success. Eating healthy is a lifestyle. I truly believe that “Fitness Concepts” will help you reach your goal—that is, if you are mentally and physically ready and willi8ng to do whatever it takes. There are no excuses! If you really want it and are “hungry” for it, you will see results.

Make fitness a priority. It is your body we are talking about here. Thanks to my nutritionist, Dr. Saman Bakhtiar, and personal trainer, Johnette Hickman, I now feel well educated and incredibly confident at my auditions.

I would like to thank Fitness Concepts for changing my life. I have joined many gyms and have hired a handful of trainers, and nutritionists in the past and have not gained as many results as I have now.

I initially started because I had to lose 20-25 lbs. for a wedding that was coming upin 6 months. With the help of my trainer, Johnette Hickman, and nutritionist, Sam, I was able to achieve this goal in 2 months. As of today, I have been training with Fitness Concepts for 7 months and my body has completely transformed. I have lost 2 inches on my neck, 3 ½ inches on my chest, 1 inch on my upper arm, 5 ¼ inches on my waist, 4 inches on my hips, 3 inches on my thighs, 1 ½ inches on my calves.

The combination of nutrition and physical fitness was one of the key factors to my success. Johnette, instilled belief in me, encouraged me, trained me not only physically but also mentally, and continued to challenge me to go to the next level. She would always tell me, “…this is not about the wedding, and this is about changing your lifestyle.” On a weekly basis, Sam would keep me accountable on my nutrition and tracked my results.

For many years I’ve struggle with my weight. I am truly happy not only because of the way I look physically, but also because I have completely “changed my lifestyle.”
